Own Your Sex is a phone app created by a collegue of mine. I created the logo and icon design for the application. The app provides couples a means to more easily communicate sexual preferences and desires. With this in mind, I wanted to create a logo that would read well as an icon on a home screen and not need text next to it. Initially, I wanted to use a pair of handcuffs in the design, but realized the icon would become too busy at a small size and a singular handcuff was easily reconizable. The devil horns were added to give the icon a mischievous tone.
